Jason has always considered the most beautiful word in the English language after “mother” to be “teacher.”

For a decade between 2015 and 2024, Jason taught law at the University of Hong Kong 香港大學 as an adjunct associate professor. He is now a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of Saitama University 埼玉大学 and the International Center of Tokyo Metropolitan University 東京都立大学. Beginning in fall 2027, Jason will be teaching at the University of Tokyo 東京大学's College of Design.

Over the years, Jason has given guest lectures and talks on a broad range of subjects—from creative writing and cultural issues to journalism and advocacy—at leading universities around the world, including, among others:

In his spare time, Jason also teaches business communications, public speaking, creative writing and literature to students and adults alike.
