As children, Jason and his brother Dan spent much of their idle time penciling interior design sketches to create their dream homes. Dan is now a New York-based architect designing airports, hotels and office towers, while Jason continues to be a freelance designer creating homes for himself, family and friends.

Guided by the Italian concept of sprezzatura (studied nonchalance) and the Japanese philosophy of wabi sabi 侘び寂び (beauty in imperfection), Jason believes that interior design is ultimately about problem-solving and storytelling rather than glamour and razzle-dazzle. He works with a team of trusted local contractors to turn his design ideas into chic, inviting homes in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Toronto. In his spare time, Jason scours cities he visits for home decor knickknacks and designer furniture.

Jason's projects have been featured in leading interior design magazines in Asia—including Home Journal (Hong Kong), Elle Decor (Hong Kong) and Elle Decoration (China)—and used as sets to shoot local films and television programs.

Jason's latest project is a home office makeover in Chuō Ward in Tokyo, which is expected to complete in December 2026.
