Classical Singing

古典聲樂 • クラシックの声楽

Jason started performing at the age of 12 with the celebrated St. John Cathedral Choir in Hong Kong. While attending high school in Italy, Jason was trained under the late vocal coach Piero Poclen and soon began performing throughout Italy, including his television debut on national broadcaster Rai Tre and a private performance for H.R.H. Prince Charles of Wales.

Jason continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where he successfully auditioned for the prestigious Penn Glee Club, performing Broadway musical numbers, as well as touring the United States and Israel under the guidance of the late conductor Bruce Montgomery.

In 2005, Jason returned to Hong Kong and began vocal lessons with the renowned pop vocalist Steven Ip to develop himself as a “classical pop” artist, combining his classical training with the energy and sound of pop music.

Between 2007 and 2014, Jason was the lead tenor and one of the founding members of the Baron Singing Group (BSG), an a-cappella group with a repertoire that ranges from American pop classics to Broadway musical numbers and gospel music. BSG made regularly appearances at corporate functions and holiday events. In 2010, BSG won third prize at the Hong Kong International A-Cappella Festival.
